Travel theme: Big

As I mentioned earlier that I was on a business trip to US last year (2012) and I was staying there for a month. I tried to find somewhere to go during weekends as it was a good opportunity to explore new places. One of my weekend trips was Big Basin Redwoods State Park as it didn’t take a long time to go there from my accommodation. So on one Saturday, my colleague and I drove there and joined a free walk called ‘Redwood Loop Trail Naturalist Guided Walk’. This trail was led by a volunteer who walked us through the details of redwood environment, animal stories, park history and showed us special trees such as mother and father of the forest or an animal tree.

It took around one hour which I enjoyed it as I like hiking and I could get some interesting knowledge provided by the informative volunteer, even though I mostly forget it after that.

It was a pleasant leisure time.

Thank you to my colleague for taking my photo - This is me trying to compare with the crown of a redwood tree.
