The burning candle.
Light the room of thoughts.
Let us believe we have a choice.
The smoke occupied.
Unclear trust.
Obscured the eyes.
The flame was out.
Faith has gone.
So long. Good Bye.

Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge: Still Life
Wonderful evocative poem and still life. Really a well-paired combination. Happy photo challenge.
A lovely picture of sadness and loss of hope.

Beautiful still life enhanced by your poem. Really lovely.
So much there even when
the flames gone out.
But there is always cake
don’t you think?
Ha Ha, nice alternative thought. A new hopeful moment. :)
LOVE your poem. Something’s so haunting and empty about it. Never knew a candle can be so deceptive. It stands tall but once it burns, all that’s left is a pile of smush :)
