You might wonder why did I choose to post this panorama picture of Water Lilies for this week’s travel theme. Did I want to bend a rule by selecting this image for imitation of a lilies pond in the garden. Nope, I didn’t want to do that.
I was certain that I followed the theme because this piece of art was the 1st work at the Garden of Fine Arts in Kyoto, Japan. This outdoor museum was designed by Tadao Ando. The garden holds well-known masterpieces on porcelain panels. The admission fee is only 100 yen and free for children age 0 – 15 years old.
The work of arts are near-life sized recreation. You could see how grand of ‘The Last Judgement’ was by comparing with me on the front.
Besides the amazing works, the architecture is also impressive. It shows how considerable the architect thought and designed this place for art exhibition.
And because of the thoughtful design of the Garden of Fine Arts, I thought this place was really great for photography. We spent time taking a lot of photos while we were walking along the path leading us to each panel. We immensely enjoyed our time there even though the garden didn’t have a vast area holding only 8 pieces of art.
If you have a chance to go to Kyoto and you like art and photography, I certainly recommend this place to you to explore. I believe you won’t be disappointed. Anyway, please choose the day that is bright with sunshine because you will be able to see light and shadow that play around the place.

What’s inside this colourful jar?
Sit and write this post.
I’m so ready to start my writing for this week’s music challenge from Steve.
Here are three questions from him:
If I ruled the world…?
I would let no one tells lies. We must be sincere and talk what we really think. If you couldn’t tell the truth, so you just said nothing.
If only I could..?
싫은 날 – IU
If only I could understand Korean language, I would be able to know what my favorite Korean singer sings for me. However, I can feel the beauty of her voice even if I can’t comprehend what the lyrics are.
If I had a million dollars…?
Liar Liar – Avicii
Hey! how coincidence that the first and third of random songs were related to Lie. Yes, I just wanted to comment about that. Ok, let’s talk about the 3rd question … If I had a million dollars, I would find a way to invest that money so I could get more and move my family away to somewhere we don’t have to endure liars – it’s just a long story that we shouldn’t say anything about it.
About a week ago, I went on a trip to Hong Kong with my friends. It was my 2nd time to be there. The weather during our trip was not on our side. We met cold wind on the day we visited Hong Kong Disneyland. The shower rains were our companion on the next day that we went shopping and saw Symphony of lights. We expected the coldest on the last day but it seemed not that cold. However, the sky was overcast. So when we went on a tram to the Victoria peak, we knew what we would see or not see. Surely, not the bright blue sky.
And because of the cloudy sky, I believe that this picture (captured by iPhone 5s) was suitable to apply Monochrome effect to it. I first chose HDR filter for it and then paint the B&W filter. Both filters were in Camera 360. Phonto was still my choice for blog credit and I also applied its Black & White effect to the picture.
I believe that death is a part of our live. But I don’t believe that anyone has rights to take our life away.
I believe that true love does exists. But I don’t believe it will happen to me.
I believe that we should always look for a goodness in human beings. But I don’t believe that we should ignore the cruelty among us.
For today’s prompt, tell us three things that you believe in your heart to be true. Tell us three things you believe in your heart to be false.
I have been fun joining this challenge from weliveinaflat and firebonnet so far. Their theme let challengers try new things. This week’s theme is Light Leak Effects. If you’re wondering what is Light Leak, you can click the link to read more explanation in the host’s page.
I contemplated how could I approach this challenge before starting this post. I decided to search for more information about mobile app on the Internet, and I found this webpage ‘25+ Top Apps for Light Leak (iPhone/iPad)‘. They recommended both free and paid applications to us, and I saw this app ‘Pixlr-o-matic’ which has already been installed on my iPhone. I applied a filter and light effect on the chosen picture that I took while being on a queue for Space Mountain ride at Hong Kong Disneyland during the past weekend. I think that the output was quite interesting.
Compared to the original one.
What do you think?
They beautifully pop!
I really love eating them.
One of my favorite activities while travelling in Japan is eating tempting food.
