Some say rose

Sally, the host of Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Photo Challenge, has come back from her trip in Northern California (USA), and she has updated the post for the 1st Monday’s theme which is Nature. She posted some photos from her trip which I think they all look wonderful. You can click the link ‘Nature’ to visit her post as well as join us on this photo challenge.

I searched around my home for this week’s Nature photograph, and I looked at one potted plant which my dad told me that this one is getting old and it might not be able to produce roses anymore. I realised that I was able to know which variety of this plant without its blooming flowers by noticing thorns on its trunk.

The rose and the thorn, and sorrow and gladness are linked together.

Mother nature provides us with the elegant flowers like roses but she doesn’t forget to attach thorns in order to protect her children.
