Steve’s Music Mix: Is The Answer In The Question Or Is The Question In The Answer…?

Let Steve remind us how this challenge works:

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING

Why does it always rain on me? Shells – Mighty Oaks
Recently, I feel like my life has been postponed 10 years. It was kept in shells for a decade. I should have spent my time adventuring during my 20s, but I just started doing something like that in my 30s. I should have had my first boyfriend before I turned 30, however I met that one a year or two later than that. I broke up with him and let time passed me by without seeing anyone new. It is kind of late when I have met someone I’m attracted to. He is much younger than me, and older women rarely date a younger men in Thai culture. We seem to live in different generation. Life rains on me while he just meets the sunshine.

Where is the Love? Next Year – Two Door Cinema Club
This following question and answer seems to come up at the right time after I complained about my love life these recent years in my respond to the first question. Thank you to the shuffle function on my iPhone. Love better comes in hurry before my organs fall out of my body!

How will I know?
Sex on the radio – KONGOS

Oh…next year and sex on the radio … Wow, how will I ever guess this kind of answer!?!

25 DAYS | 25 SONGS – DAY 04: Calm Me Down

I tried so hard in order to find what song could put me at ease when I was nervous, angry, or distracted. Usually, I will turn to listen to my favourite band’s music when my mind is on that state. The band that I choose is Radiohead. I can listen to all their albums but three of them have the calming effect to me which are Amnesiac, Kid A and a special album COM LAG.  It is a tough decision for me if I have to pick one song from those albums. So I decided to pick only one album which is Amnesiac.

25 DAYS | 25 SONGS – DAY 03: MY PARENTS

Here’s a reminder from Steve for how to join this music mix challenge

Each week I will post 3 new questions so…

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING

How do I look today?
A Wolf At The Door (It Girl. Rag Doll) – Radiohead
If I looked like a wolf staying at the door, I would be a tired one because of the very hot weather in my city today. Today was actually our national holiday which I still needed to work overtime according to our project timeline. However, I didn’t work as much as I wanted due to the high temperature so after working all morning I forwent any of burden and just lied on my bed reading a book.

What should I wear tonight?
Whispers In The Dark – Mumford & Sons

I should wear my pyjamas to my bed, and I wish that I shouldn’t hear any whispers in the dark because I sleep alone…

What should I wear tomorrow?
Scatterbrain (As Dead As Leaves) – Radiohead
Oh … unbelievably that I would get two songs from the same album of Raiohead in one post: Well done my iPhone?!? Ok, I shouldn’t wear anything that will be looked as dead as leaves, should I? Anyway, I’ve already prepared what I would wear tomorrow since I don’t have much time in the morning so I don’t want to waste time thinking what will be my outfit on my working days. So I will just wear a white T-Shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

25 Days | 25 Songs – Day 01: A song from childhood

My regular posts on Saturdays during the past 12 weeks were responses to the Snappy Happy Photo Challenge which it finally came to an end last week. While I was pondering what kind of post I could write for the next Saturdays, I came across this interesting topic on fishofgold which she has got it from Twindaddy.  It is about songs which are certainly my things so I know I have to jump into this 25 Songs, 25 Days.

25-songs-blog-challenge

The first day is about a song when I was a child. At that time, I usually listened to songs that my parents fancied. However, there was a song that made me ask my dad to buy an cassette tape for me. It was a very popular song when it was first launched as well as its album and the artist. His name is Bird Thongchai whom we can call Thailand’s superstar. He is still famous until today. He has already had 16 albums (not including other special albums) during the past  28 years.

I’d like to talk about the song in his first album which was released in 1986. Its name was Sabai Sabai which could be indirectly translated to English as Chill Chill. The lyrics described something like “If we like each other, just say yes. No need to worry. Just give love to each other. But I’m ok if you want to break up. Chill Chill” Actually, the lyrics weren’t the main point that I like listening to this song. But I guess that my fondness came from his voice and song rhythm which made me feel happy. No need to worry anything “Sabai Sabai”.

Steve’s Music Mix: Where Is It…?

If listening to music is your thing …
If you’d like to use your imagination for writing…
If you want to combine music and writing together as your love for them…
I think the music mix from Steve is something you might fancy to do so. As Steve has said about 4 rules to join his challenge.

Here’s a reminder how it works:

Each week I will post 3 new questions so…

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING

You also can send him three questions for the next challenges.

And here are my answers for the three questions:

Where is your happy place?
I have made mistakes – The Oh Hellos
I would like to come off as a person who can sincerely say ‘Sorry’ when I have made mistakes. I believe that the World will be a happier place if we have an ability to admit what we have done wrongly.

Where are you now?
Etc – Francis and the Lights

I’m in my bedroom where I’m writing this post, listening to music and et cetera …

What do you mean?
Dirty Paws – Of Monsters and Men
I don’t mean anything bad when I deny to play with my pet at the time I arrive home each day. Her dirty paws don’t bother me. I just want to clean up my disheveled appearance first. That’s all.

Steve’s Music Mix: The Good Will Out…

Week by week, Steve will have three questions for us to reply to by using this below rules:

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING

Steve’s questions and my answers with three shuffled songs are:

I am so bad at…?
Classy Girls – The Lumineers
Yesterday I watched a video explaining how to wear make-up. The presenter spent 20 minutes putting on make up. I really wanted to do the same as her but I know that I couldn’t do that. It takes too much effort and I don’t think I can be patient to practise it even though I sometimes want to indulge myself for elegant and stylish look. Unfortunately, I’m just not good at having classy appearance.

I am so good at…?
Shame on me – Avicii
As I’ve been growing older, I don’t feel shame at all when I speak of my imperfect body and face. My face doesn’t have clear skin due to acne blemish. My calves are much bigger than average size comparing to my overall body. I used to be ashamed of those flaws when I was younger. But I guess I am good at getting used to them because they are part of my body. Nobody can’t belittle my confidence except myself. Yes, older is wiser. Right?

I want to be good at…?

Yeah! I truly want to be good at playing sport such as tennis, ping pong, or badminton. My co-workers and I have begun to play badminton after work twice a week. I was first concerned about my back that used to have problem when I played sport like this. However, I now enjoy playing it after my body has adjusted to the games. And it’s good to have extra activity with my fellow workers outside working hours.

Steve’s Music Mix: Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda…

There are 4 simple rules to join the music mix challenge hosted by Steve:

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING

So this week’s three questions and my answers are as following:

What I should do…?

Rolling Waves – The Naked and Famous

I should prepare for the rolling waves even though my current life is so peaceful like the calm sea because you never know what will happen next if you are not careful enough.

What I shouldn’t do…?

Gagging Order – Radiohead

I know that I shouldn’t conform with the injustice gag order. However, it’s sometimes not easy to disobey the rule because the punishment would be unfair and you couldn’t do anything about that bias situation. You just shut your mouth and live like nothing is wrong.

What I Will Do…?

Picture – Mighty Oaks

In the absurd social circle where the rightness is wrong and the injustice is acceptable. I have to create my image as a perfect citizen for my peers. I have to accept the distorted reality as a suitable picture for my belief despite the fact that it is just an illusion. I will need to do that for survival in this delusional society.

Steve’s Music Mix: All By Myself…

As Steve‘s said about his challenge:

Each week I will post 3 new questions so…

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers
(4) NO CHEATING

So … this week’s three questions and my answers are:

If I was stranded on a desert island…?

…I would feel like I need to walk out of the Woods and try to create SOS sign with all my hope to get help from this desert island.

If I was the last person on earth…?
Glory and Gore – Lorde
…That would mean I could held onto my Glory and die alone.

When no one is looking, I…?
Shells – Mighty Oaks
…I would like to curl myself up inside a giant shell so I didn’t have to worry about anything anymore.

Steve’s Music Mix – If …

Sit and write this post.
I’m so ready to start my writing for this week’s music challenge from Steve.
Here are three questions from him:

If I ruled the world…?

I would let no one tells lies. We must be sincere and talk what we really think. If you couldn’t tell the truth, so you just said nothing.

If only I could..?

싫은 날 – IU

If only I could understand Korean language, I would be able to know what my favorite Korean singer sings for me. However, I can feel the beauty of her voice even if I can’t comprehend what the lyrics are.

If I had a million dollars…?

Liar Liar – Avicii

Hey! how coincidence that the first and third of random songs were related to Lie. Yes, I just wanted to comment about that. Ok, let’s talk about the 3rd question … If I had a million dollars, I would find a way to invest that money so I could get more and move my family away to somewhere we don’t have to endure liars – it’s just a long story that we shouldn’t say anything about it.

Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge Week 4 – Cutouts

This week’s challenge from weliveinaflat and firebonnet is quite fun for me as I never use this kind of app on my iPhone. I decided to use co-hosts’ suggested app called MolDiv to complete the photo for a response.

I used two picture which one was a character from Depicable Me. Another one was character from Toy Story taken at Hong Kong Disneyland. I also applied Cartoon effect to it for the touch of animation.
