Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge Week 12 – Mix It Up

I have immensely enjoyed participating in Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge so I am a bit sad that this fun challenge has come to the final part which is Mix it up. And as always, the co-hosted weliveinaflat and firebonnet have done their remarkable work by asking challengers to utilize one or more effects that we have explored so far from the beginning of the challenge, and then stick them together into the collage.

Before posting the 12th entry to this week’s theme, I would like to recap what my responses to this amazing challenge were.

Week 1 – Bokeh
Week 2 – HDR and Saturation
Week 3 – Watercolour apps
Week 4 – Cutouts
Week 5 – Light Leak Effects
Week 6 – Colour Filter
Week 7 – Turn your photo into a sketch
Week 8 – Mirroring
Week 9 – Double Exposures
Week 10 – A pop or splash of colour
Week 11 – Text on photo

So, I choose 5 photos that I took when I was at Disneyland Hong Kong. I then used FotoRus to apply colour filters and lighting & bokeh effect. The collage and text on photo have been done in this app as well. I adapted this picture in particular way to get a magical moment as if we were in a fairytale.

Last but not least, I’d like to say thank you to this challenge’s hosts who have come up with the fun, challenging, and inspiring themes in each week.

Thank you :)

This Monday is the 5th one of this month which the theme from Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge is Editing and Processing. I chose to edit the below image by using Magic Color filter on Camera 360 to get the dominant color of stones for each picture.

I then used ProCollage to stick 6 images together. The poster style came from Phoster where I also put the blog credit into it. I selected Coffee print out for the poster.

A Word A Week Challenge – Tropical

My country, Thailand, has a tropical climate which is warm and humid. This time of year, we are in the rainy season. But today the sky was clear and still no sign of rain. This afternoon I went to my aunt’s home to have a Yoga session with her. We practiced Yoga in her bedroom which we could see the abandoned garden behind her home from the bedroom windows. Despite the warm weather, we were cooler from the wind that flew through opening window panels.

After finishing the session, I walked back to my home because our houses weren’t far from each other. It took around 10 minutes to reach my home.  During walking back, I needed to use an umbrella to shield me from the strong rays of light. However, I still snapped some photos along the way. It was good to have a chance to observe these scenes I used to pass a lot but I might overlook something.

Even though the above photos were taken here in Bangkok, not on any island or beach. I wish that they can represent Tropical for this week’s A word A week challenge from Sue.

Sue has posted the word for this week challenge which is ‘Vibrant‘ and I decided to approach it by using my Ricoh R6 for taking macro photos of my earrings. I think these small things have their own character along with a vibrant color.

Travel theme: Flow

For true love is inexhaustible; the more you give, the more you have. And if you go to draw at the true fountainhead, the more water you draw, the more abundant is its flow.

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.
