Sunset on the run

I chose the above picture as an entry for the MBPOTW challenge‘s 5th week. It was selected from a bunch of photos that I took while being in a van on the way back to Bangkok from my hiking trip. I was trying to practice taking photos by adjusting speed shutter. That image was in the last set of photos before the Sun would leave the sky. It was one of a few photos which were fine as most of photos were blur.

  1. A long time ago when I was learning to use the SLR using one I borrowed from a friend. I never did have the patience to fiddle with shutter and aperture all that stuff… so most of the time I had it on Auto :P I never did get an SLR or dSLR after that! Nice work! Looks like hiking did not tire you out, I probably would have been sleeping in the car!! :P

    • I’ve tried so many times with shutter and aperture and I don’t think I can be good at them since I need to figure out every time I try to take photos. So I usually point and shoot when travelling except some times like that when I didn’t have anything to do.

I think I was too tired to take a rest but I did took a nap for a while after the sun left the sky :)

  2. What a lovely photo! I also find it hard to adjust the speed shutter and aperture when taking photos…I find it a hassle. That’s why I just love to just point and shoot. Maybe that’s why I’m never satisfied with my photos :)
